How are you living your life?

I Was Here…. Am I Making My Mark? Are You?

Julie, one of the amazing women in my business Facebook group, posted  a video from Beyonce.  I think it is safe to say that each one of us who watched it probably shed a tear and I know I had/have chills running through me with the meaning and the strong presence that comes from this song, but now it is leaving me asking myself some questions.

First, watch the video (and grab some tissue):

How did it make you feel?  Were you touched?  Holy hell, I know I was.  This amazing video did something for me in this moment.  It made me realize two things:

  • How much I should be grateful for.
  • How can I live in so much fear that I am not using what God sent me here to do

We, as people, as entrepreneurs, mothers, fathers, etc, we get so fearful to live our life, to go out of our comfort zones, to truly live our purpose.  I’ll wait until….  there might never an until..  We are NOT guaranteed to wait until summer comes, to wait until the New Year. We aren’t even guaranteed tomorrow.  How are you making your mark?  How will people know that you were here?

Will they remember you for how much you cared? How you helped them build a business? How you changed their mindset and their whole life changed?

Or are you bitching about everything that is going wrong in your life? Focusing on the negative? Potentially making people not even want to be around you?  How are you showing that you’re here, that you care, that you’re making a difference.  Are you living your message?

You see, we only get one life, you have to make the choice in how you’re going to live it.  Are you going to choose to live it so you can make that stamp on the world to say that you were here, you lived and you loved?

  1. This is a very powerful blog. Thank you for driving the point home. This reminds me of the quote, “Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take with you nothing that you have received ~ only what you have given.” ~ St. Francis of Assisi

  2. I love this post and appreciate you sharing your thoughts. I have been going to a process (for years, I guess) trying to figure out what my purpose is. I thought I knew once, then things fell apart. I haven’t been able to see another light since. So this article speaks to me. Thank you and all the best to you. Peace :)
